What is physical therapy?
Physical therapy is the use of physical means,
such as exercise, joint and soft tissue mobilization, patient education
and modalities to treat disease or injuries. Preventing injuries
is another important part of physical therapy. Improving posture
and balance, building stronger muscles, and teaching better work
and health practices are some of the ways physical therapists can
help you achieve optimal functional independence. Whether your problem
is short-term, such as an ankle sprain, or chronic, like arthritis,
physical therapy can relieve pain and get you back in action.
Insurance
If you have insurance, please bring your insurance card
with you on your first visit. Our patient accounts department will submit your
therapy bills to your insurance company as a courtesy to you. It is very important
that we have complete information in order to do this. You are expected to
provide any information that is required, including signed and completed forms,
details of injury/accident, spousal insurance coverage and referrals for services. |
It
is the patient’s responsibility to know their insurance benefits.
You are expected to pay any copays and/or deductibles at the time
of your visit. All balances not paid by the insurance company are
billed to the patient.
Supply Charges
Some treatments require additional
supply fees. Payment for these items is expected at the time of service.
If your therapist feels you would benefit from the use of equipment
at home, you will be provided with information on where you can obtain
the equipment. Some items can be purchased here.
Fee and Payments
We make every effort to keep down the cost of
your therapy care. You can help by paying copays, deductibles and supply
fees at the time of your visit. If you are unable to pay at the time
of your visit, please make arrangements with our front desk. |
